Meet the Team

Rashad V. Chambers is a Tony Award winning producer, talent manager and lawyer. He is the Founder and President of Esquire Entertainment. Rashad recently produced the New York premiere of the award winning musical Little Girl Blue: The Nina Simone Musical. Broadway producing credits include American Son, Ain’t Too Proud, Betrayal, The Inheritance, Caroline, or Change, The Music Man and Topdog/Underdog, and most recently Fat Ham which was nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Play.

Rashad attended Morehouse College where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He also earned his JD and MBA degrees from The Ohio State University. Rashad is a founding member of The Industry Standard Group as well as a board member of On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program and Houses on the Moon Theater Company.

René Ugarte

Creative Director and Head of Development

Born in Caracas, Venezuela,  René has significant experience in the production field working as a producer, production coordinator, art director, event planner, and director for various theatre and film projects.  He was recently recognized by the Producers Choice for the Cinematographic and Performing Arts for his achievements in the entertainment industry.

In New York, Mr. Ugarte is well known for his contributions to the Creative & Development production world by bringing his international experience to the entertainment industry. In the past he has worked as stage manager and art director in several productions in theatre (The Lost Boys, or an Awfully Big Adventure and Black Chronicles) and film (Public Relations and The Occupant). As a producer, Rene has worked on The Wedding, The Crafty Ones, Face to Face, Need or Punishment, and Unknown Venezuela. He has also directed a number of musicals including The Wizards of Oz, Titanic, The Sound of Drums and Liberty For All.  He is Currently also involved in the production of the HGTV’s popular series House Hunters International.

Christian Kassab

Christian Kassab is a producer from Detroit, Michigan who’s passionate about creating a platform for heartfelt, authentic, and diverse stories. He began as an assistant to Rashad V. Chambers on Little Girl Blue: The Nina Simone Musical and is excited to continue working with Esquire. Outside of work, he loves creating videos for clients such as Broadway Plus, Lululemon, Black Theater United, and more. He is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and a current student at NYU Law.
