Esquire Entertainment is a New York entertainment company specializing in talent management and production.  The talent management division represents actors, writers, directors, and choreographers working in theatre, television and film.  The production division develops and produces theatrical and film productions.

Rashad V. Chambers is the Founder and President of Esquire Entertainment.  Rashad is a Tony award winning producer currently represented on Broadway with Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations and Caroline, or Change.  His other notable credits include The Inheritance, Betrayal, American Son and It Happened In Key West.

Rashad’s first feature film, True to the Heart, won four awards at the Long Island International Film Expo and was an official selection at the Big Apple Film Festival.  In addition, his short film, Click, was an official selection at the Hollywood Black Film Festival and the Pan African Film Festival.

Rashad attended Morehouse College where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Mr. Chambers also earned his JD and MBA degrees from The Ohio State University.  A licensed attorney in New York and Connecticut, his professional affiliations include: On Broadway Performing Arts Training Program (Board of Directors), Houses on the Moon Theatre Company (Board of Directors), the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

René Ugarte is the Creative Director, head of the Development team. Born in Caracas, Venezuela,  has significant experience in the production field working as a producer, production coordinator, art director, event planner, and director for various theatre and film projects.  He was recently recognized by the Producers Choice for the Cinematographic and Performing Arts for his achievements in the entertainment industry.

In New York, Mr. Ugarte is well known for his contributions to the Creative & Development production world by bringing his international experience to the entertainment industry. In the past he has worked as stage manager and art director in several productions in theatre (The Lost Boys, or an Awfully Big Adventure and Black Chronicles) and film (Public Relations and The Occupant). As a producer, Rene has worked on The Wedding, The Crafty Ones, Face to Face, Need or Punishment, and Unknown Venezuela. He has also directed a number of musicals including The Wizards of Oz, Titanic, The Sound of Drums and Liberty For All.  He is Currently also involved in the production of the HGTV’s popular series House Hunters International.

René graduated Magna Cum Laude from Santa Maria University (Venezuela) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications in Media and Performing Arts, later obtained the Summa Cum Laude honor for his Masters in Business Administration in Media Management. In addition, he has training in international relations and script writing.  Finally, René is accredited by the Association of Independent Producers and storyboard certified.
